If you have to hold the charger at just the right angle, or wiggle it until the light comes on, the charging port is failing. Left alone it takes the charging circuit on the board with it.
The port takes mechanical stress every single day. Plugging in, unplugging, the cable getting caught on a chair leg, the laptop being moved while still on charge. Over time the solder joints holding the port to the board crack.
Once those joints are cracked the connection becomes intermittent, and every wobble arcs a little. That is what burns the port and, eventually, damages the charging circuit around it. A port repair done early is a small job. Left for months, it becomes a board repair.
First we rule out the easy causes. A failing charger or a damaged cable produces exactly the same symptoms as a failing port, and testing with a known good adapter takes two minutes.
If it is the port, we open the laptop and inspect the solder joints under magnification. Cracked joints can often be reflowed or resoldered. A port that is physically broken or burnt is desoldered and replaced.
We also check the charging circuit around the port for damage caused by the arcing, because fixing the port while leaving a damaged circuit behind means the laptop comes back.
The same five steps every time, so you always know where your laptop is and what it is going to cost.
We find out what has actually failed rather than replacing the part the symptom points at.
You get told what is wrong, what it will cost and whether the repair is worth doing, before any work starts.
The work is done on the bench with the right parts for your model, not a near enough substitute.
We run the laptop properly afterwards to confirm the fault is gone and nothing else has been disturbed.
You collect it, or we drop it back to you in the areas we cover.

Bapunagar is covered by our free pick-up and drop-off service in east Ahmedabad.
Both produce the same symptoms, which is why we test with a known good adapter before opening anything. It is the quickest way to separate the two.
Yes. USB-C ports are surface mounted and need proper desoldering rather than a quick fix, but they are repairable.
Not really. Every wobble arcs across a cracked joint, and that heat spreads damage into the charging circuit on the board. A small repair now avoids a much larger one later.
Almost never for a port fault alone. The port itself is a replaceable component.
Tell us what your laptop is doing and we will tell you what it needs. Diagnosis first, then a clear price, then the repair.
