Deleted files, a drive that will not mount, or a laptop that has stopped booting with everything important still on it. The first rule of data recovery is to stop using the drive, and the second is to stop trying software on it.
Stop using the drive. When a file is deleted the data usually stays where it is until something writes over it, and every minute the machine keeps running is another chance for that to happen. Shut it down.
Do not run recovery software on the drive you are trying to recover. Most of it installs onto the same drive and writes its own temporary files there, which is the exact thing you are trying to avoid.
If the drive is making noise, switch it off immediately. Clicking or grinding means physical damage, and every extra minute of spinning risks turning a recoverable drive into one that is not.
We never work on your original drive. The first step is to make a sector level image of it, and every recovery attempt runs against that copy. Your original is left as it is, so nothing we do can make the situation worse.
How the data was lost determines what happens next. Deleted files, a corrupted file system and a formatted partition are logical problems worked through on the image. A drive that is not spinning, or is clicking, is a physical problem and needs different handling.
We tell you what is recoverable before you commit to anything, and we give you a file listing so you can see what has actually been found rather than taking our word for it. Recovered data is returned on a drive you provide or one we supply.
The same five steps every time, so you always know where your laptop is and what it is going to cost.
We find out what has actually failed rather than replacing the part the symptom points at.
You get told what is wrong, what it will cost and whether the repair is worth doing, before any work starts.
The work is done on the bench with the right parts for your model, not a near enough substitute.
We run the laptop properly afterwards to confirm the fault is gone and nothing else has been disturbed.
You collect it, or we drop it back to you in the areas we cover.

Usually yes. If the fault is power, board or screen related, the storage drive itself is generally untouched and can be read on our equipment.
Not necessarily, but it does reduce them, particularly if the program was installed onto the same drive. Stop now and bring it in rather than trying another one.
Yes, and it is often harder. SSDs actively erase deleted blocks in the background, so acting quickly matters more with an SSD than with a mechanical drive.
Recovered data is handled only for the purpose of returning it to you, and it is removed from our equipment once you have confirmed you have it.
No, and anyone who guarantees it is not being straight with you. What is recoverable depends entirely on the state of the drive. We tell you what we can see before you decide whether to go ahead.
Tell us what your laptop is doing and we will tell you what it needs. Diagnosis first, then a clear price, then the repair.
